✨ Highlights from June
June was a month of momentum and meaning! We gathered virtually and in person to foster healing, confidence, and creative expression.
Some highlights include:
🎨 Healing Arts Sessions: Guided workshops to support patients and caregivers in emotional expression.
🧘 Wellness Moments: Small but powerful check-ins reminding our community to prioritize self-care.
📦 Community Outreach: Kohanim Ministry Let’s Heal Together G.U.T and Hydration Education
Our Exclusive Biotech Conference Invitation
🧬 Breaking Barriers at the Boston Biotech Conference
We were honored to attend one of the country’s premier biotech and life sciences conferences and even more proud to be one of the first advocacy organizations ever invited as the event opened its doors to nonprofit and patient voices to join the conversation. Volunteer Keyla, an ostomy patient, carepartner, and founder of Connecting Pieces, represented the community and spoke to the importance of including patient voices in healthcare innovation. Our presence marked a meaningful step forward for visibility and inclusion.
🕊️ It’s Time To Heal Together Community Event
In partnership with Kohanim Ministries in Boston, we hosted our very first church-based wellness event — and what a beautiful day it was. From the seed planting station to wellness shots and reflection tables, every station was created with love and intention. Guests made Bible verse bookmarks, learned about gut health through our apron demos, and explored what healing looks like when we come together as a community. This day reminded me that healing doesn’t have to be complicated — it just needs care, connection, and space to begin.
With so much gratitude to everyone who showed up and showed love.

🏁 Ostomy Corner at Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation
We brought our mission to life at the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation event, where we introduced our very first Ostomy Corner. This welcoming space offered connection, conversation, and visibility — complete with kit previews, affirmations, and resources. It was a powerful reminder that people living with a stoma deserve more than survival — they deserve confidence and community.

👥 Men’s Health Event
Maintenance Hour: Mic Check
Celebrating Men’s Health Awareness by closing out June with a special Men’s Virtual Wellness Event focused on emotional expression, creativity, and connection. Highlights included a powerful songwriting session with Juan Bellia, a music therapy activity with Jon Samson, and an art therapy “smash” exercise led by Denalerie. Together, these activities gave participants a safe space to reflect, release, and reconnect with confidence.
“I didn’t think I’d get anything out of it — but it surprised me. It felt good to show up for myself.” — Event Participant
